About Course
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic care for patients in hospitals, nursing homes and private homes. The Certified Nursing Assistant is an entry level position that typically work as member of medical team under direct supervision of Registered Nurse (RN), Doctor/Physician or other healthcare professional.
The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for performing duties such as measuring body temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration; collecting specimens for laboratory analysis; preparing and giving medications; making beds; assisting with personal hygiene care such as bathing, oral care and shaving, inserting catheters and monitoring feeding tubes.
Certified Nursing Assistants should display compassion toward patients by listening to concerns, answering questions or offering emotional support. Certified Nursing Assistants should maintain a professional appearance by wearing neat uniforms, keeping hair pulled back and following dress codes. Certified Nursing Assistants should follow safety precautions at all times to ensure patient well-being.
